Our Featured Local Artist of the Month: Terry Burton!

terry burton

Our featured Local Artist for the month of March is Terry Burton!  Here is just a little bio of what inspired her work: After moving to Virginia in the 1960’s, Duck became her new beach favorite. Her family has owned a vacation home in Duck for over 30 years. This is where she came to be inspired to paint. The sand in Duck is a different color, the flora is unique, and the wild life is abundant. She wants people to feel what she feels about this magical place called Duck.
Working in watercolor allows her to capture the brilliant light and rich depth of color that the ocean, clouds, and sky offer. Her paintings instill a restful feeling of wellbeing and the warm fun of sunny days. They conjure up breezy ocean days where the rolling waves caress the sun soaked sand.
